9. Make sure you clean the entire bumper area where the tape will adhere to very well. Remove all grease, debris etc. before proceeding any further. The cleaner the bumper the better adhesion you'll get from the tape! Place the diffuser underneath and secure it with all the plugs you removed.

10. Now remove all the tape covers and firmly press the diffuser into place.

If your diffuser is from the same batch as mine it will not be level. So you will need to apply a good deal of force to make sure it's sticks well everywhere! When I say firm I mean it. Make sure the tape is contacting the bumper all the way around.

11. Now enjoy the extra 10hp and smooth ride as you diffuse that air LIKE A BOSS!

yeah a cut out would have been nice but I know I will NEVER use the rear tow hook for anything so I didn't really care.

I've been checking in from time to time. The fit really looks good, BMX!!

...but, it appears you've strayed from the original objective. I see alot of cosmetic mods going on here. 17" wheels and 205 tire size are not doing any favors in the weight or efficiency department. And, while the mugen bits and diffuser look the part, they aren't contributing anything beyond looks. Same for the oil cap, plate relocator, radiator cap, pedals, etc. etc.

I was hoping to see you really push the envelope in this thread...

very true...I definitely started heading in a new direction with this car. Which is why I changed the thread title. I'm still focused on weight it's just going to take a while. As I search all over there aren't really a lot of parts available to make the Fit lighter or more efficient.

I'm in the process of relocating but in the coming months I plan on putting in a lighter pulley set and a lighter flywheel If I can find one. On my next trip to the states I will be picking up a lightweight odyssey battery as well. I should have my MR5's refinished by then so my wheelset should get lighter since they're only 15" wheels....so much to do so little time

honestly I can't tell a difference from the stock pads vs the EBC's with the powerslot rotors.

huh. is that so... idk but theres something in me that says "hey, stock brakes are weak, upgrade!" maybe its just the way i drive? the gear ratio is somewhat "short" so i always find myself above the speed limit. lol.

MR5's on a GE? interesting....

How heavy are the GoZigens? The MR5s weight about 15lbs if I recall correctly, never owned a set because I never really cared for them. You really should of just kept the CEs. They looked the best and also were light to boot. You could try to locate a set of RNRs if wanting to keep the Mugen theme, 15" as well and less than 11lbs each. The drivetrain would thank you for them.

The FN01RC's are about 3lbs heavier per wheel vs. the MR5's. I just sold my Integra and I sold it with my RNR's so those are out. I would love to go lighter than the MR5's but my wife has an issue driving on expensive wheels. She's afraid she might curb them and I will definitely be pissed if she does. Maybe some black RPF's are a good compromise?

lol. GO ZIGENS. That's what we use to call it back in the day as "GO" is "5" in japanese. but people would look at my friends and I funny so we eventually started saying "5"zigens like everyone else. GoZigens is the correct way to say it though right? sorry to be off topic.

I like the MR5s. especially if they're refinished and re-lipped. However, I'd take M7's preference over the MR5.

Mugen MR5

I would love some MF10's or 8's but I don't want to pay the current going rate for them. Mugen has made a lot of wheels but few of them are very light!

I meant to comment on this but forgot. The Mugen front bumper cover is supposed to direct air more efficiently to the center and sides of the car instead of underneath. I read it on some Japanese website. I'm not sure if I can find out exactly where I read it but I'll try.

I wish I still had my MF8, MF10 and RNRs. At least the MF8 and RNR's I would be able to use on the Fit. The heaviest wheels I have ever purchased were Works RS-Z way back in 1994 for my EF3 Si, I was more into car audio and the silver with blue lip looked great on the Satin Silver paint job of the EF3.

When I purchased my EK4 SiR, the MF line had just been released and the store Bay Area Stark had a set just arrived the day prior and I immediately picked them up because they looked sick and were light. And of course when I bought the DC5R, I knew it was going to have MF10s and nothing else, well maybe CE28s as the only other option.

Damn, I'm sorry going way off-topic in your thread.

i'm getting a lot better fuel economy on my last couple tanks of gas. ahemahem, i'm going to give credit to my mugen bumper even if 99% it has nothing to do with it.

To be 100% honest I was not very impressed with the quality of the rear diffuser. I was actually pretty disappointed. I expected higher quality but what can you expect for a couple hundred dollars. The main reason I bought it wasn't for it's looks it was more for any type of aerodynamic advantage I could get.
