I dunno, I'd be concerned about transmitting all that force from an impact to a single point on the unibody instead of across the bumper.

well, there's the screw in hole for the tow hook (look above the muffler), just like the front.

as for the ones in the earlier post... those hooks are on brackets that also had to be installed (custom).

I agree, it it probably a little ricer by definition, but I actually like the look of the hang down tow hooks like the t1r. I plan on probably getting one, but then again I'll probably use it as a tie down for a kayak or something on my roof rack, so I guess it'll serve a purpose.

So I have two stupid questions...

1. How do I get a second hook? I only got one with my car. I want to use them as tie downs for my kayak and I don't want to just tie one end down. I searched ebay and it didn't seem to be what I was looking for. Should I just call up a dealer and get one from them?? I'd rather not do that (seems like a hassle)

2. How do I get the tow hook covers off!? What am I missing here?! Do they pop off? I noticed a little mark on one spot and I tried to pop it off but it wouldn't budge and I was scared of damaging it...

Thanks for your patience.

you can't really just pick up another one besides at the dealership.
part number is 74717-TF0-000. it's $7.02 at cflhonda.com.

as far as those covers, they're really hard to get out, but you just pry it off.

That was incredibly helpful! Thank you!

I'm glad that I'm not a moron about the covers. It seems pretty straight forward to me but it wasn't budging. I guess I'll just put some more elbow grease into it.
