Will HTC EVO work in USB port?

I have an ipod touch that I know works with the USB in my 09 Fit Sport, but will soon be getting a Sprint EVO. Can anybody tell me if the USB Port will be able to charge and play music with the EVO just like my ipod does?

No, maybe charging. This is why a monoply on operating systems is preferable.

Actually it will, my Motorola Droid will give you the option to mount the phone's SD card as a USB storage device when pluged into the Fit's USB port just like it does on a computer. Select Mount on the phone and it will read your phone's SD card just like it would a USB thumb or hard drive. It is not nice as the ipod link but it will play your songs.

And yes it also charges the phone.

That's cool! I figured it would be just like my 'other than ipod' mp3 player and not work. So it would work just like a usb stick.

When plunged into the USB it will act as just a mass storage device, there is no play list support and you can not use applications on the android phone like Pandora to control it. The only way to use something like Pandora is to hook the phone vja the AUX jack on the car connected to the headphone jack on the phone. Then the only control of the music is through the phone.

And also why choices are so limited.

Hi I have a druid 2 global and it keep saying unsupported. It played once but not again. I did change it to Ups mass storage and not charge only but it keeps saying unsupported. My ipod works fine on it. Its mp3 files and they play fine when the phone is not connected. But when it says unsupported and I press the phone it is saying sd card is busy I tried using other sd cards and its the same thing. Any suggestions?
