The fact that something will be difficult is no reason not to do it.

^Still a JDM only product. Plus, we don't have a tuning solution here in the states...the USDM fit uses a different ECU than the JDM model (This is the reason we can't use the J's racing flashed ECU). A turbo with out a tune is a rolling disaster.

I'd prefer the simplicity and low maintenance of the Kraftwerks supercharger kit.

No...because you're tremendously annoying, you contribute nothing to the conversation, and to top it off you have no reading comprehension skills...

You should just listen when adults are talking.

How do you know? The fits head is currently very limited... the DOHC head from the CRZ may flow better. allowing for more power... just because the motor itself together makes less doesnt mean a frankenstein isnt gonna net any gains.

In your theory putting a B16 head on a GSR motor doesnt provide any gains.... but in real life... it does.

You should stop. think. then post. In that order.

You probably don't realize how ridiculous you sound. You have no friggin' clue what the hp output will be...yet you talk like it's already been done. You make the same assinine comments about "swapping a K." You have less than an elementary understanding of where engines generate power...

I have the feeling I'm arguing with a 17 year old.

He is a troll...it's obvious. This is how he generates thousands of posts. And we are falling for it.

Regarding the frankenstein, this could really be a breakthrough in the search for power. Makes sense, the "si" iteration of most civic models was simply the addition of a DOHC.

FA5/FG2....R18 (?) v. K20

hmm those are all quite different

and isn't b16 head/b18 block a little different than l15 head/l15 block?

Engine Upgrades

Ha Ha Ha....Make the Fit faster....HA HA HA. Cut out the floor boards and do the "Flinstone"......This way it will be lighter and have up to 10 more "foot" pounds of torque....

But seriously, I would like to see some kind of ENGINE upgrades, not just spark plugs and intakes. I have seen used engines on Ebay for less than 800 dollars (just in case a guy happens to donate to the thrown rod god.)

You can find running, low mileage engines all day on car-part.com. The problem isn't the lack of a spare engines...the problem is aftermarket support. Most importantly, an engine management system.

I know the problem isn't finding spare engines....but after you blow up one that has been modified, its nice to know you can get another one cheap...

Until then, a 350 shot of nitrous just might work.. It would only cost 1000 doll hairs per shot!

Hate to break the bad news about the CR-Z, but it too is a SOHC setup. The motor is essentially a L15A from the GE tweaked somewhat with the addition of the integrated motor assist.

The lower output has more to do with it not revving as high I would presume. On the spec sheets it makes 114ps at 6000 whereas the GE makes 120ps at 6600 and drop it 1 less ps for the CR-Z if going with the CVT setup. Also though it gets an additional 14ps at 1500. The torque output between the 2 powerplants are the same 14.8kg-m at 4800, but of course the the CR-Z has quite a bit more torque thanks to that electric motor residing between the motor and tranny adding in an additional 8kg-m(57.8ft-lb) at 1000rpm.

(Unfortunately) Your viewpoint is consistent with the majority of Fit owners. Again not trying to be mean, just objective. Obviously, you are not part of the target market for performance oriented products.

@JDMxGE8
I just found the thread re: Bisimoto. I added my name to the list and will try to do some digging into this.
Your right, I wouldn't take a new car and blow it up, and a lot of people feel that way. I bet.. when these start getting a few years on them there will be a demand. If there is a demand and someone can make a buck at it.. it will be done. The market is not there for some reason or another.

I like fast cars, but I also drive 18,000 to 20,000 miles a year and the best way to get the most life out of my commuter is leaving the drivetrain stock. Heck, I just picked my Fit up on Monday and I've already put 500+ miles on it. I've done tuner daily drivers... not worth it in my mind.

I will say, I'm hoping to do a boosted D16 powered Civic next year, but that'll be a go fast and mess with people car.
