New Fit owner
Hello all:
I just recently took delivery of a 2010 Fit sport last Friday, A/T, blue sensation pearl. Thus far, enjoy the drive, and seeing that my gas consumption @ 31 mpg, which is a big improvement from my other vehicle, 2007 Acura RDX (of course they are truly different cars, but it feels good to know that I can actually hit > 30mpg).
I am in Seattle, and man, the tree sap stuff really gets to me. Every morning I find this small tree sap spottings on my car, windshield, body...
I had wanted to wait till the car sits for another week before a car wash, but I intend to take it through a car wash, and then apply a polymer cleaner/polish/sealant to it. hopefully the tree sap don't stick so well to it. Or else, I am going to have to keep a bottle of final detailer handy, like Meguiar's.

Welcome. Tackle the sap ASAP don't let it sit. Avoid the car wash - hose, bucket and microfiber mitt with a quality car wash soap. A good wax will help and a detailer touch-up spray is the answer. Get out from under the trees - hope they aren't pines, that's the worst.
Pick up some Klasse sealant (german). Its an acrylic sealant and works great again sap, bugs, and bird poop. The key with this stuff is multiple coats. Works great.
Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze, klasse SG sealant, klasse sealant glase, klasse sealant

Also--You can pick up some quick detailer or clay bar lubricant to use to help you get off the sap before it "sinks" in. Spray it, let it sit for a few seconds, and then wipe with a microfiber cloth.
