Willing to pay for protection

My fit gets no respect! This car's rear wheel well has more dings in one year than any car I've ever owned. I need protection. I'm thinking about putting a spiked collar around each wheel. Anyone know of a solution?

I've also thought about adding decals designed to make the car look larger or more threatening. Any ideas?

No respect at all.

For some reason I am picturing a car from death race....mounted machine guns, thick, bullet proof metal sheets over the windows, oil slicks, smoke screen.....

Or you could just install a really loud train horn. That is the last thing I would suspect from a little car. And it would probably scare the crap out of other people.

As far as decals, just put a picture of obama on your hood, if I saw that in my rear view mirror I would be terrified and probably swerve to get out of your way lol

I agree a upgraded horn and maybe even some loud exhaust (like a Harley) is your best bets.
Are the dings from driving or door dings?

If its from door dings the best thing I can tell you is change your parking habits. Nobody respects any cars now days no matter what you drive. I always park out away from everyone when I park or if you have the option to find a corner spot park closest to the curb to keep the most distance away from you and the idiot next to you. I never park in a corner spot if I think the persons door might be able to reach my car. I've had my Fit for over a year now with not a single door ding. My wife now practices the same procedures and does not have a single door ding on her 3 yr old TSX. Before she met me her car always had tons of door dings. I'm sorry to say it..but you pretty much got to treat every other car owner as an bumbling idiot and protect yourself by staying as far away from them as possible.

Put the spiked collar around the big dog's neck who you have living in the Fit's spacious interior.

I've got five dings in my right rear fender. That's despite the fact that I always try to park with the right side against a curb.

On the road, I get cut off like the car isn't there and trucks make a habit of riding sin inches behind my bumper. I'm serious about needing protection. I need to make this car more visible and more threatening.

Like I said... if the curb spot is still tight..I park out in BFE where nobody else is. I've stayed lucky so far.

It's the U.S....people here are still ignorant towards small cars. I don't what to tell you when it comes to making the Fit look bigger. It's the one downfall about have a small car in a SUV/Truck corrupted nation.
I upgraded my horn (to an accord horn) and use it often. When someone is on my butt 6 inches I go even slower..they eventually pass. If not...I give them a little brake check and if they really want to play I pull over and show them my can of pepper spray (luckily I haven't come to that scenario yet)

What I'm really after is a hard vinyl wheel well guard. I've seen these on pick-ups and they would cover my dings and offer protection at the same time, but I can't find them wide enough to do the job.

Go to a custom vinyl shop. Also get some door molding to protect from door dings. They can be stylish to.

If you have lemon, make lemonaide!

Put a surveilance camera, the kind thieves put on ATMs. Get the plate, and each time you get a door ding, get a body shop estimate to fix it. Press charges if you have to.

You'll make $200-400 on each ding and you will be rich in no time.

No, I'm not kidding. Legally you can collect on each ding whether you fix it or not.
