On top of that when it does rub, it rubs on the stretched sidewall, not the tread. I inspect it every day and the worst I've seen is a bit of tire shine on my quarters. In the front, its never touched.

Anyways this is just my experience with wheel fitment on the GE8. You guys all have your own opinions, I'm just sharing what I've found. Take from it what you will.
Remember you are running 15" wheels, most choose not to run a smaller wheel than stock. So yes with your 15" wheels you will not see rubbing as easily as a 16" wheel and even less than those that go with 17+".

I ran 15x8 +15 XXR's and rubbed all the time. I think I ran 195 45's on them.
If you look at my sig, I may have rubbed, but I looked good doing it.

There perfectly fine for any kind of driving , don't listen to the people who just go by what the book says, I've done 195 on a 9 inch rim and 185 on a 8.5 rim and no uneven wear they wear just like any tire

Its the size of the tire that controls rubbing issues, not the wheel except for offset.
And handling is measured by stopwatch. If Jeremy knew enough about handling, he'd be driving as the Stieg instead of Michael.

I'm well aware that it comes down to the tire's size, but that poster was talking about he runs 15" wheels 8" in width with a +15 offset and 195/50 tire and doesn't rub so he feels everyone else is in error, because they mentioned rubbing with a 16x8 with either +15 or 0 offset without fender work. So I stated what I said. How many people are actually going down to a 15" wheel when the stock is 16". A decent amount of people usually with almost all vehicles go +1 or at least stay the same wheel diameter as stock. I could understand somewhat if that poster was tracking his car and went down to a 15" wheel, but that obviously isn't the case.

Actually, lots of drivers have dropped from 16 to 15" wheels, mostly because the combination of 195/50x15 tires are pretty good track stars.
We're back to that tire size as control again to get the best gearing and best tire width and least tire weight of the best sticky tread compound.. Some take this stuff really seriously.

It's not what I see on these forums, most here seem to have their Fit setup as show queen status.

Absolutely. but for them if it don't go ... Personally, I'd rather beable to cut a good lap, aka "fit leading ..." on you tube.
