Can we get the software correction at the dealer for our 2009?

Since you are in Canada, different rules apply. You may not even need it, but if you feel your meter readings are significantly out of line with calculated fuel consumption, it's worth asking at a dealer; the worst they can say is "Non".

The USA fix is documented in Technical Service Bulletin 09-086. BUT, Honda Canada may not recognize that as applicable -- and, indeed, the error problem may not exist (or be acknowledged by Honda) with Canadian Fits.

I need it for sure. Twice I calculated the average. Once cruising on the freeway, 4.6 on the computer, 5.2 in real life, and after 7.4 on the computer, 8,9 in real life (100% of city driving).

Sorry I didn't know about this extra capacity but it makes sense there would be inconsistencies based on what you're saying. I wasn't aware because I never do this squeezing in extra fuel. I hold the handle full bore and when it clicks out then I'm done filling. So based on my filling method and calculations I'm getting 40 miles less on a tank than the OBC tells me. IMO there is consistently something wrong with how the OBC calculates fuel consumption on my 2009.

i've calculated the MPg only once. it's about 27.3 which is only 0.2 different from the computer read 27.5.
recently i've been getting mpgs around 26. I wonder how you guys can get 30 in a mixed road driving.
I drive nomally and don't push gas too hard. I was thinking maybe the relative low mpg is due to the fact I mostly drive on short 5mile commute between school and home.
Also, here in texas i have to turn the AC on high. It's been reaching to 100F during the day quite often now.
yeah, the fit is really a fun car to drive.

My commute is 25 miles each way on country roads and my normal speed is about 55 mph, which I think is the sweet spot. I do have to stop at probably a dozen intersections and I'm sure this is what disqualifies me from the 40+ club.

I thought I'd chime into this one.

I currently have 926 miles on the odometer of my Fit, the 2nd to last fill up I filled it to the click and no more.. drove 345.xx miles, the on screen display said 37.4MPG average... I filled it up again same station to the click and no more, hand calculated 37.5MPG... IMO the on board system on the 2010's is dead accurate any differences is error in hand calculations I believe.

I used to be a huge MPG documentation freak when I owned my GTI 1.8T which wasn't a VR6 that comes with an on board display like the Fit does and I am glad to see how accurate the 2010's are, I no longer have to whip out my phone every fill up and calculate. I'm very satisfied
