2010 Fit Base.. Compatible remotes?

We just bought a new 2010 Fit Base and are mildly annoyed with the absence of a remote. Are there any compatible remotes from prior models (just a remote fob) that will work without having to cut off the key blank?

Thanks in advance!

I've seen that video, read the forums but I'm looking for one that is just a fob. I don't want to disassemble and mutilate the key. I also don't want to cut a new key and program an immobilizer (dealership charges $150).

My dealer wanted $150 to program the immobilizer and cut the key.. got them down to $75 after it became obvious I knew my stuff. It irritates me that even servicing my car takes dickering. And we wonder what is wrong with the car industry.. around here there isn't a single decent Honda dealer.

After getting jerked around on an appointed... I walked. They had me set an appointment, and then wanted me to wait an hour for them to do it. Ended up cutting the shank off the key and using it.. works great.

Your dealership is screwing you. I bought the Fit Sport key from College Hills Honda and had my dealership cut and program it - their normal charge for this work is only about $55. (It wound up taking them about 3 hours because their system was having technical problems that day, and they chopped 50% off that price as compensation.) Find another dealer if yours won't budge on the price.

Just buy the Fit sport replacement key(I showed parts manager at my dealership that I could buy it for $40 online so he matched it),it is the exact key as the base accessory kit that they charge $150 for. My service advisor programmed it in 10 seconds and went to shop and cut key off and smoothed it out and came back in a few minutes and I had my $40 remote fob for my base Fit. It looks and works perfect. No need to disassemble. If your service advisor won't do this for you then that is pretty sad after you bought a new car from them.
