Ok so i changed the oil today and checked the air filter-dirty at 12000 miles.Ok so every store i have called does not carry a filter but can special order one,what gives with this?I really dont want to pay dealer prices.

 

Not sure, but pretty much any Honda dealer parts dept should have them in stock (for the in-stock problem), for ~$24 or less. What prices are these stores giving you that makes it such an incentive?

I'd guess they aren't stocking them because not enough people are buying them because either the price difference between them and Honda isn't enough, and or the special order aspect leads people to drive to the local dealer where they can have it the same day, with no question of quality. I always buy Honda OEM air filters. I don't trust the 3rd party manufacturers enough to save a few dollars. How much are we talking here, and who's the manufacturer?

When I order I get that, a cabin air filter, and two sets of wiper-blade inserts. Keeps me going for the year.
