Flash Drive Unreadable File *FIX*
Flash Drive Unreadable File *FIX*
If you're like me, you use a mac and every time you load a flash drive full of music, when you plug it in, the Fit stereo says "Unreadable file" every now and again.
I found what looks to be an easy fix -- CleanDisk:
Download CleanDisk for Mac - Remove hidden dot files and folders. MacUpdate Mac Software Downloads
Basically this program scrubs the unreadable (extra .dot) files that OSX drops on the drive -- which the Fit stereo can't read -- so you don't have to see "Unreadable file" again!
I know there are ways to remove the extra files through terminal or other ways, but this is as simple and quick as it gets.
Hope this helps those that need it!

I never tried a flash drive on the stock head unit, but now that I put my Alpine IXA-W404 in, I can never get a flash drive to read. I'll have to try your suggestion, however, because I also have a mac.
