Anyone else had a problem with a flash drive losing connection repeatedly while playing music? Mine would basically disconnect after a minute then reconnect continuously until I gave up. I haven't tried another flash drive yet, so it may just be that drive was acting up (super old).

 

Yeah, I would try another drive. My iphone kept breaking connection and I thought it was the car......it wasn't, it had about a pound of bellybutton link in the lightening plug hole :-\ cleaned it out and now works perfect. Probably not the deal with your usb but I would certainly try to eliminate it being the drive first.

 

I had this issue a few times. Turned out to be one single corrupted bit on the flashdrive. used a program to format it (Not windows itself) and never had an issue again. Even seemed faster for some reason.

Seperate programs will find the bad sectors and actually mark it on the filesystem so it never tries to read or write to it
