Standard Noob Question... If you had to do it again...
We are an all Honda family. The Fit is our fifth Honda car and I would definitly do it again. We keep our Hondas for more than 10 years generally. Our current stable includes an '03 Valkyrie, '06 Element and the '10 Fit.
If i had to do it over again, I would buy it again, but maybe without the Navigation. The voice controls are cool in theory but you really have to talk slow or repeat the commands before it gets it right. Its great on gas, love paying next to nothing at the gas pump compared to my other cars. I just wish it had more power.
I'd absolutely do it again. I, too, was stuck between this and the Fiesta, but I like the Fit interior WAY better. The fuel efficiency seems overstated on the Fiesta, too, whereas it's definitely underestimated for the Fit (my MT consistently gets 37-38 mpg w/ about 80% highway driving).
The only time I have second thoughts are when the most recent Civic Si hatchbacks drive by (2005?). I'd love to have that extra bit of power in a Honda hatchback.

The real question is this: I plan to have this car paid off early... WAY early. At that point, I'll decide if -
A: I want to maximize my tradein and ditch it for something else.
B: Keep it, despite some things I don't like about it, and add a few features that I didn't think I'd miss but would like to have (such as adding a moonroof, possibly leather seat covers) and drive the wheels off of it.
The idea of having it paid off with no car paymeht for a while is definitely enticing. Maybe buy an old Beetle or Microbus on the side as a toy.
