My parents and the Fit

My parents drove up from Arkansas to Massachusetts tonight in their 2002(?) Lexus and on their way back to the hotel, I decided to show them the Fit, both of which were not too thrilled about it. They both said it was way too small.

Then I had my step mother sit in it and the first thing she says is, "Honey, you ought to sit in the car. It's real roomy! My Dad refuses as he was tired and ready to leave and on his way to the car says, "I like driving and need a lot more room for our suitcases, cooler and stuff.

And that's when I flipped both seats down in 1.03 seconds and say, "Is this enough room Dad?"

Now he was the one telling my step mom to come look. "Honey, come look at all the room in this little thing!" He then said how it had more room than his Lexus..

It's amazing how many people will not even give the Fit a second thought until they experience one......then they usually buy one.

Just shows how much people judge by appearances and stereotypes. Dumb.

Cool story. It's amazing how quickly your dad and stepmom did a U-turn on their initial appraisal of your Fit.

Zazzle will print whatever you want. I have a "My other car is a TARDIS" sticker.

Me = nerd.

I'm only 6'1, and I stand like a dwarf next to my 6'6 buddy. Last week we shot down to the bar after work one evening, plus another (5'11?) guy in the back seat. Squeezed into a parking space right by the door that others had been avoiding (the Fit barely fit). Love that car.

LOL on the Me=Nerd. Honestly that's the 1st thing that come to mind My Brother was/is a HUGE fan. Me- Not so much.

Tom Baker/Jon Pertwee era or SyFi Era? I wonder how many lightbulbs they went through on those Daleks.

Actually the fit is like a Tardis. The car looks tiny from the outside, but from the inside, there is tons of room. like that old PoliceBox.

You're not not a noob. Just not into Science Fiction and definitely a High school kid. (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Very true. I had my Fit for a few months, came back home to see the family, and they got to looking at my Fit. A little while later:

My mom goes and buys the same thing.

looks to me like a DC2R or DC2 with 5 lug Conversion. you can see the rear wiper arm on the back and also the EK had larger rear windows.
