Question Driving/Passing lights:

This is my first post/question on this web site, also new Fit owner. 2009 Silver Sport automatic. The car is used for general transportation and also towed behind our motorhome using a tow dolly. My question, we just returned to Texas after spending the summer in Northern Idaho. The glass lens on the drivers side is broken. Called dealer and was told $200.00 for the assembly plus labor. Is there no way to just replace the glass lens or to get a much better price. Is it difficult to replace the light assembly with common hand tools. All help would be most appriciated. Enjoy all the info that is available. GP Scotty

You can buy a used headlight for around $120 on eBay or local junk yard.

You can check the forums for a headlight or just order through honda and put it on your self. To remove the headlights it does require a bit of work. The front bumper needs to come off but it's only a few screws and clips. Theirs a few DIY's. Also changing just the lens is much more work then you could think. The assemblys are sealed and waterproof.

OP, is this for a new Headlight or new Fog light? I thought the headlights are plastic, not glass but I do believe the fog light lenses are glass.

either way, the whole assembly will need to be replaced and as others have said, it's definitely a DIY project (replacement) so no need to pay for labor if you are handy.
