What size Altimax winter tires?

I have a 2010 sport and I will need some winter tires soon, its snowed a bit last night already here in northern Wisconsin.

I really like the Altimax tires and was looking at some 195/60R15 mounted on 15x7 TRmotorpsort C1s.

Any thoughts/opinions on this tire size and wheel?

get steelies. They're cheaper and more durable.

As for the size, they look like they'll be fine. almost exactly the same overall diameter as your stock 16's.

Good Choice

Either the 195/60 or 185/60 size will do. 185/60 is just slightly smaller in overall diameter compared to OEM; there's like a less than half-an-MPH speedometer error at an indicated 60MPH.

I agree that 15" steelies are cheaper and more durable.

The base model uses 175/65R15 and that would be a better size in snow than the wider tires mentioned. Narrow tires cut through snow better. The overall height would also remain ideal.

They are going to be on my car for 4 months of the year and I prefer the look of the alloy rims. I know the TRmotorpsort C1s are really light (which I like for the mpg) and hope they can hold up to the winter conditions.

Think the 185/65 would work ok, my Fit is at the stock height? Any additional clearance in the winter is a bonus. I'd prefer the 185 width in the winter. The calculator shows that the speedo would read 55 and I would be traveling 56mph.
