Lol-I love seeing pics of Honda's towing things, its so unconventional. +10 points for using a feature of the car that not many others ever do.

Unless you're in Europe... they tow things all the time with small cars. Honda UK has an official tow hook accessory for the Jazz (aka Fit).

Ever since i got the tow hitch i have been going to town. However, i mainly use it for a rear bike rack.

You might want to search posts for the rear shock relaced with air lifts to improve the handling when towing.Theres a good set of them.

He's right! Had the Monroe air shocks on my GD 3 for a couple of years.
Pumped them up once to about 55± and hauled pre-cast concrete mantel & column pieces with them. Apprx 1000 lbs made railroad crossings nervous and steering was "rather strange" but made it to the job site with much relief.

I should add, anything above about 27 lbs on my car started to jack up the rear ride height. So for A/X I found them of limited benefit. I ran them as firm as about 36 but not beyond. They are great for hauling/towing though and, hey it's just fun to see peoples' faces watching you pump compressed air into the under side of your rear bumper.
All Fit automatics in 1st gen came w/factory AT fluid coolers. I know how much it costs to repalce one. Not a small number.

thanks guys you have given me plenty to think about. when i have been hauling stuff i just put the load in the center of the trailer to make sure there was as little tongue weight as possible.

I'll have a Coke!

Btw, the automatic is also a 5 speed so to be more precise, it should be called a manual or standard transmission.

Noticed auto trans coolers were brought up... for track use or towing they are a great idea, and they are NOT expensive.

The "expensive" bit is finding adapter fittings, and even that is not bad, there are all sorts if you go through Jegs or Summit.

Once that is done, select a larger cooler, pick up some braided SS lines and -AN fittings. Install the new cooler, and mount a switchable fan to it.

well yeah, but when someone says 5 speed, it generally refers to manual transmission
