Anyway it seemed appealing for about a moment and then when I checked out the prices for a new one I quickly changed my mind.. Anyway what location did you ended buying yours if you don't mind me asking? I've been visiting the Burlingame dealer.. Anyway again congrats..and enjoy!!
Hi there, yep, Redwood City Honda and yes that is the 08 i was testing-the purple one - it was great---i liked it, but not as much as the 2011! It was just smoother and more comfortable for me so i went with the base model cuz it cost less then the used sport and i didn't really need all the extras. Speak with Elena, my dealer, she was great! Tell her Kathy sent you - i bought my polished metal with 3 miles on it and am so in love with my car. I think i will go for a drive today!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

I had originally purchased a 2007 Honda Fit Sport in vivid blue pearl, sight unseen, when they first started taking pre-orders to bring them to the USA.

Well, I only had the 2007 for about 5 months, before the seating position became too painful for me to bear any longer. The gas pedal angle was too vertical, causing cramps in the top of my foot, ankle and shin, and the only way to resolve it was to push the seat back all the way. Being not even 5'3", it put too much strain on my neck and shoulders, so... the Fit had to go.

I test drove a 2011 Fit Base this past Saturday, and was very impressed with the changes they've made. The seating position is much better, and I like the cupholder-topia they've implemented with the newest model. I'm now the proud owner of a Celestial Blue Base model!

As I did with my 2007, it looks like I'm going to be adjusting the headlights again. I still hate the harsh cutoff lines, that bounce around with the smallest bump in the road.

2011 Honda Fit MT

Hey Everyone,

I became the proud owner of a brand new 2011 Honda Fit two days ago and just found the forum today. I knew the moment I checked it out that I wanted the Fit but I had I while to go to save up my nickels on my budget. Its the base model celestial blue (i'll post pics soon) and I couldn't be happier with it, especially after upgrading from a 1989 (yeah, '89) toyota Trecel. This is my first ever new car and I'm so glad I got it.

Hey Everyone,

My wife is going back to school and we're interested in getting a Fit Sport for her long commute. I see that some of you have picked up a Sport w/ Auto for $18,500 Out The Door. I just spoke to a fleet manager in Orange County, CA and was told that as of last week there are no more discounts - everything going for MSRP due to supply issues and 0.9% apr is also no longer available. Anyone else running into this? it's almost a $2k bump.

As per Honda, production is reduced in Japan to 50% until the end of June as compared to before the tsunami.

Local dealer here had 31 Fit's in stock a few weeks ago, now they are down to 6 while their dealership up in Houston has 15.

Laws of supply & demand strike again.

Tell me about it, what a difference two weeks can make! I'm still going to call around to see what the deal is. Would love to hear more feed back from anyone else that's in the market.

It was $16,150 base price, $500 dealer fee, 6% sales tax for $1000, $500 dealer fee, a bunch of government fees (total probably around $50), new tag cost almost $460.

So in the end close to $18,200 for a Base.

congrats all, the 2011 fits are definitely in short supply and going basically for window sticker price.
by the time japan restores production, i would imagine they would be taking orders for the 2012 models.
the 2012 FIT will introduce 2 new models, one will be a Hybrid model...plus an FIT EV
