2010 Fit Sport Alarm questions/help
2010 Fit Sport Alarm questions/help
Great forum. I'm a brand new Fit owner as of Tuesday night. As part of all the extras the dealership were trying to sell me I was most interested in an alarm.
My condo parking lot has had quite a few break-ins. I wanted an alarm that would go off if a window was broken. I was sold a Guidepoint GPS recovery system because I was confused about its features.
So now after reading about all these sport wheel thefts(searching this forum), I'm trying to figure out the best approach to securing my car. It has the default security system. The dealer said I could get the "normal" alarm which has the shock sensor which was mentioned in threads here as being them just installing a chip into the car that they took out on Tuesday night.
Or I could keep the Guidepoint GPS system and go with an additional aftermarket that has shock and tilt sensors like Viper. My concern is will 2 aftermarket(guidepoint and viper) conflict in anyway or should I just go with the Honda shock sensor?
Sorry for the long winded first post...thanks for the advice

My 2010 Sports A/T came with OEM Security Alarm. I've asked the dealer to install an additional shock sensor to piggyback on to the existing alarm so that I can still use the original fob key with build-in alarm buttons... need not have to have another fob for alarm.
Next, I will get a set of wheel locks so that if someone try to bang on the wheel locks to override, or tried to smash the window, the impact sensor will set off the alarm

I have the default wheel locks so the shock sensor should get the hammer effect but I was thinking tilt sensor as well for extra protection as they have to jack up the car to get the wheels off.
