Bi-modal transportation or "Yes, it will fit"
While it's still a bit cold to go for a ride just yet, I decided to take a look and see if my recumbent trike would make it into the Fit... no problem! All I needed to do is fold down the rear seats, move the front passenger seat as far forward as it would go, and fold it forward.

Now I just need to find a couple of carpet remnants and I'll be in business...

Thanks, you just answered a question I had about a recumbent and my Fit. I had a WizWheels tour{lost in divorce} and want to get another, but not if it wouldn't fit in. Placing order soon, now that I seen it will fit in. Have fun riding!

I want to get a couple of carpet remnants, one to cover the chainrings, and the other to keep the trike's rear tire from dirtying up the top of the rear seat and front passenger seat.
Thanks Crispy,
I ordered another WW Tour, medium boom. Ever try it the sprockets boom over the front seats and rear wheel in rear corner? Be interested to hear if that works. Last car I hauled the WW in the sprockets chewed a mark in rear hatch trim by accident when it slid back on a blanket I used on the floor. I turned the WW around and had the sprocket boom over the seat, and eliminated that issue. The left wheel rested against the drivers seat back and I used a seat belt from passengers side to "lash" it down to prevent sliding. I had a Toyota Matrix with hard plastic seat back "floor" and the blanket would slide even though the WW park brake was on. Guess may be a non issue with carpet, but don't have the WW yet to find out.My other bike,a GF 29er, I just lay in back with front wheel off and it doesn't move. Happy peddling!

Since I didn't have something to cover the chainrings, I wasn't keen on putting the trike in chainrings-first. I don't want to risk soiling or tearing up the upholstery.
Enjoy the trike!
I'm going to need to take mine in -- all three wheels need respoking. I got it used about eight years ago. I actually want a new rim on the rear wheel as well - the previous owner used a 451 mm wheel (the other "20-inch" size) in back, which has a poor selection of available tires (an issue that Fit owners can relate to). The more common "20-inch" size is 406 mm, and there are LOTS more tires available for 406.
