What is this part and where can one purchase it?

Note the red circle and colored part.

I had a break in through the front driver side window. Completely shattered the window. It seems there was so much force involved that it damaged this (plastic) mystery part and practically snapped it in two.

The glass repair shop improvised on this by essentially bolting/clamping it together. Needless to say, the window works fine. However, I would prefer to get the original part as soon as I can.

My car is a 2010 fit sport. The image shown is actually from an 05 model.
any help is appreciated.

Thankyou for the quick response. I did just that and i still could not acurtely identify the part from the exploded views. That part number you gave me does not seem to have an image associated it.

The part is part of the power window regulator assembly. I searched under FRONT DOOR GLASS - REGULATOR. No, luck. The closest thing i got was 72210-TF0-G01 for $217.34 after a 79.58 savings. I imagine the piece would be a fraction of that.

Thankyou once again, malraux.

I checked under that category and i see what you mean. Im doubtful its the part im looking for. This category seems to show the steps involved in assembling the doors, not the inside components. That part looks like the door hinge.

I guess when the weather gets warmer ill open up the trim and snap a shot of the part.

It's not. It sits inside the door. Or is the part you're talking about actually a piece on the the regulator that travels up and down and the windows sits on it?

It's a piece of the regulator.

Ah, then yeah, you need the $200 part, technically. I'd try and hit up a junk yard to find the piece and see if you can salvage the plastic piece you want from it.

you think the parts are interchangeable with older models? I doubt I'll find a 2010.

Any GE8 will work. Dunno about other model years.

There's always the lazy option as well, just wait for it to go wrong in the future.

^^ I totally agree^^

Not really the lazy option. It was broke, it got fixed, it ain't broke, don't fix it.
