HID help

Hey guys,
got a H4 Hi/Lo HID fitted in GE, sometimes getting more and more now, only one side would turn on. but if you turn it off and back on the other side would work as well.

the side thats giving me problem is the non battery side..

any takers?

thanks

are you using a relay?

try swapping the ballast from side to side. drive for a couple days to see if its the ballast. if nothing changed, swap the bulbs. check again.

if nothing changed there... it could be the wiring. if you're not using a relay, get one. if you already are... try to see if you can get a replacement

The relay allows you to power both bulb straight from the battery, and it only plugs into one side of the OE headlight wiring (uses it as signal to turn on/high).

While you can make your own, some of the sellers offer a premade harness.

Tell me more about your lights; are they substitute bulbs or something more exotic?
I've used upwattage bulbs in H-4 housings for years, relays included.
Is this basically what you've done?

The less than stellar lights are one of my few complaints about the Fit.

What brand did you buy? Try out this if you don't have any luck.

Kaixen 5000K HID kit from Excelerate Performance.
