Assuming you mean the Mugen....that's available at verrrry high price from dealers......there's a sound clip comparison somewhere around here that seems pretty good. It's made of stainless so should last forever. I'd have one except for the cost. Watching for a used one. It's a perfect bolt-on replacement for stock.

Thanx for info......I see 2 listed for the 09+. One model number ends in "OE" and the other ends in "DS". And the lil' pics look different too. Wonder why the differences? Which one did you get and why?

Yeah there are 2 differerent styles

the OE-RS and the DRIFT SPEC

difference being from what I can see the Drift is a typical Cannon style with the semi-agressive slant (HKS. Greddy TIC) and the OE-RS is the more hidden I guess some would say "Sleeper" look (Greddy SE and Tanaabe touring medallion)

I took the OE-RS, im switching over from and HKS and just want a different style pretty much i was already eyeing the Greddy and tanabe, then this came out and is noticeably cheaper so I figured WHY NOT?

not to mention im running a full straight pipe all the way back from the cat now and while its nice and loud, highway drone is madning

Wow, they don't come on forums and announce these things do they? Good find! Sounds nice and "quiet."

edit: here is the RS version, which, as far as I can tell so far, will be my next exhaust. No huge tip, or blue heat treated stuff. The sound is yet to be heard, but the "drift" spec one sounds alright.

Thumbs up

Can't wait to hear this inperson Kev, I'm sure its louder than mine but then again I pieced my together for personal tastes. I'm 41 and can't be cruzin' around Chicago with people throwing Uncle Ben's at me. Both of those sound clips sound good but the second one seems pretty quiet, I'd go for the first one for sure which shows great minds think alike

i really like the look of it. i hope it doesnt sound to ricey. id like something of a sport tuned exhaust, a little noise but nothing raspy and annoying.

Why is everyone so damn afraid to go to a muffler shop and save tons of money? Bring some beer and do the work with them and you might get a big discount.

lol cause not everyone lives in IL. where i come from, you stay the F out of the shop. mechanics dont like people hovering over them while they work

I've done that on almost every car I've owned. There are "good" shops that charge an arm and a leg for any work, which with a decent muffler, would cost close to an axle back, but I just go over to the place by me and hand the guy $50 and my muffler. I hover over him too.

This time, I just want something predictable, nice looking/fitting, and that has some market value for an easier resell. That is often an overlooked point when talking about some DIY parts vs. the brand name kits. I know it's stupid, but that's the way it is.

exhaust came today

they included 2 spring bolts and a new gasket

spring bolts are different from other exhausts

our exhausts have the bolts pretty much welded on so its just tighten until springs are compressed,

this exhuast does not have the "welded on bolts"

so install may or may not be awkward, either way ill have it on tonight.

hopefully have some sound clips by morning

and i have a "muffler shop" contraption on right now, had them straight pipe my b-pipe and then straight pipe the axleback, cant say its too loud, but its too loud, and to me these axlebacks sound better then the other $100 universal options
