Clarification - there is no vtc on l series

Yes, there were conversations about a number of ways to vary the valve timing...most of which are indeed different from the Fit's, and involve multiple cams and interesting cam drive sprockets. However, the Fit has the "i-VTEC" moniker on the cam cover and at a glance I saw a number of references to the Fit.

I owned a Taurus SHO for a long time.....made some interesting progress with cam and sprocket changes....what a beast from 4500-8500.

Two words...head swap.
If thats true then you can see 150 HP plus even if you have to run 2 ecus. The DOHC cylinder head is where the powers at in a Honda. You can build a short block for less than a grand but not for a good head blueprinted with cams.
