Rear hatch leaking water

So recently it has been non stop raining up in the northeast.

On my way home from work today I noticed when the wiper on the rear window would operate there was still water on the class. Further Inspection showed water running down from around the break light all the way to the trunk latch.

There isnt enough to be alarmed by this but I am about it. Any thoughts?

Now being obsessed with keeping it clean of course I have waxed the car so I am used to water running off the roof onto the outside of the rear window. but i doubt that has anything to do with it.

Thanks

To be sure, any chance its condensation instead of an external leak?

I may recall this as being a somewhat common problem caused by failed seam sealer. I found this FitFreak link and there may be others. Yours is a Gen2 and this solution was found in a Gen 1, but it's worth checking out.
