Pic request: Painted rear "diffuser"

Per the title, I'm looking for pics of painted (other than OEM color) rear "diffusers," for the GE. (you know, that section of the rear bumper)

Additionally, as anyone painted the under side of their rear spoiler?

Did mine in Plasti Dip so if I messed it up I could fix it easily, and also because it's totally removable. Has help up great so far for last month or so. Wheels alos plasti dip'd and holding up great.

Thanks!

I assume you used the aerosol Plasti-Dip?

I've done a few parts on other cars, but I've found it comes off too easily, even with decent prepping.

Maybe I'll try vinyl?

Only contemplating, as some kind motorist nearly totalled my Taffy a few weeks ago, and it's getting a whole new front end - I was going to have the shop paint the rear while it's there.

We'll see, I'll either go semi permanent, or the full monty.

Maybe you didnt use enough plasti-dip, I have 3 layers on the front and rear, and 4 layers on the wheels. Its help up great so far in very rainy and nasty weather for a month

Just cleaned the car good, taped off area ( the most important step), and sprayed. Just put on on thicker than you would spray paint, and do 3-4 layers.

Was this plasti - dip.

You either have to let it dry completeley, and then carefully use exacto knife on it, or put on a 3-4 thick layers about 3-4 mins apart, and peel tape of while everything is still totally wet.

I did the wet version, and I have straight lines and it looks great.

Looks good, think I will do the same.

So are the perceived advantages to Plasti-dip vs good ol' Rustoleum or Krylon brand spray paints for the rear difuser?

Plasti-dip is removable if I am correct, krylon fusion (what I used) chemically bonds to plastic, so it won't chip or flake, but no matter what, if you prep correctly, you'll be ok. Depends on the shine you want really. I think plasti-dip is pretty glossy. Mine went on semi-gloss, but dried almost satin.
