Replacing the one tire with the Potenza will be fine. No need to worry about it bro.

Most of the Reviews I've seen on the Dunlops are that the Turanzas are a better tire so it is a downgrade.

Unfortunately, you are going to spend a decent amount more on the OEM tires. Discount tire has the OEM dunlops SP 7000's for $98 shipped each. You can get 205 Hankooks for $79 each (if you buy 4 and get the $40 rebate) and they have a better wear rating and higher performance. (Plus better reviews.) There's also a set of hankooks in the OEM size for the FIT at $86 each shipped.

Thank you everyone!! I ordered 2 185's Hankooks from the link above. I'll put them in the front. And when the other Turanzas die, I might get 2 new 205s to see if I notice any difference.

Maybe I'll invest in some snow tires also.

But now that I've found this community, I know I'll be able to find answers to all my questions.

Please feel free to add to the discussion with comments and opinions. I'll post here how I like the hankooks.

p.s. I didn't go with the 205s because some people here have said that it might stick out so I'm concerned about it scraping against the body on full turns. Also I feel like my mpg is dropping so I want to see if I can improve that before I try a new size.

205's on stock ride height will not rub, scrape, etc... (if you run 205/50 which is the recommended setup) 205/55 might rub if lowered but it'll also throw off the speedo a little. If you are going to go with 205's later, you might as well get all 4 now. It's not good to run a staggered setup in most cases. on a FWD car, if you are going to run staggered, the wider wheels should remain on the front. It's recommended to run same width tires all the way around so i'd go 205's on all 4 corners, especially if you are considering snows for the winter (I run them)

No need to get ahead of yourself, as I mentioned before, fronts will wear faster than rears.

So by the time you need to look for tires again, the front usage may have caught up to the rear, so you'll be in a position to replace all 4.
