Looking good.. starting to become a real car.. images don't do it justice.
I appreciate it. I have spent alot of time cleaning this thing up over the last week.
Here are some things that are going on.
I ordered a set of e brake cables from japan for a Fit RS which comes with rear disk from factory. Its my first time using JP-CarParts.com so we will see how it goes. I honestly am not sure if they will even fit or I got the correct ones. https://jp-carparts.com/honda/partli...ig=B&fig1=2600
They have 4 different product codes for the same cable, for each side. The diagrams kind of suck but I did find another similar diagram on another website that showed that the ends are different between the different part numbers. Fingers crossed I got it correct.
I also didn't realized the cr-z master has a larger fitting size but it makes since. I ordered some Dorman bubble flair reducer adapters. Part number 788-522. No local autoparts store has the because why would they actually have auto parts in their stores!?
I think I am going to start looking into the cr-z abs pump and lines and or making larger lines. If Honda decided the cr-z should have the larger size line its probably a good idea to match it considering my brakes are all cr-z. This will come later. After the kswap probably.

All the prep work has been done and everything else needs to have the engine in the car.
Got to love when you go to put the oilpan on and realize the previous owner left you a broken bolt to extract.
L15 is out.
The bay has alot of surface rust and I cannot just move forward without taking care of the issue now. So that is next before I actually put the engine in.
Love the build so far. I have a crz that I k swap in the past. Fun car as well. Good to see someone else using crz parts on the some what identical platform
K24 Installed. k24a2 swap first issue I am running into is clearance between the electric water pump, alternator and the radiator/fans. This radiator is a s2000 rad with mishimoto fan/shroud combo. The setup hits both the water pump and alternator.
I would try using some slim fans. Those helped me with my kswap.
The fans I have are slim's. Mark from HSG who just k swapped his GE said he was not able to use a fan on the usdm pass side because it would hit the radiator/alternator also. It doesn't help I have the electric water pump setup also. It is also hitting. I think he was using oem fans though. I would have to verify.
I am looking into possible tucked/race style radiators I might be able to use or the k-swap eg rad that doesn't seem to have a fan on one side.
On a side note. I took the cr-v brakes off my EK9 and the caliper brackets have the same bolt pattern as the fit/cr-z. I bolted everything on and it actually fit better than the cr-z rotor/caliper but still wont work as it also hits. This would most likely work on a cr-z which would be a bigger brake upgrade.
My issue here is I wanted to keep the factory fit suspension geometry in the front by keeping the fit knuckle but if I cannot find a rotor that works I will be forced to switch over to the cr-z knuckle.
What exactly changes if you swap over to a CR-Z knuckle? I know the CR-Z control arms and hubs both widen the front track, but what do CR-Z knuckles change? Thanks.
Fit fuel sending unit Fuel sending unit. what it actually will look like. custom shifter cables one of one. My Shifter base plate to use the rsx hybrid racing shifter. Made in house k24a2 ge8 shifter cables
Switching things up again. Removed all the work I did on the front knuckles / cr-z parts and decided to try and get a 8th gen civic knuckle in.
It fits. I am looking at camber plates now and im going to need to get an axle combination that will work now. Im not sure what this is goiing to do to the suspension geometry but the clear benefits are
36mm axle
Bigger Brakes
Suspension upgrades / suspension that was designed for the heavier engine.
