This has nothing to really do with my build I guess but some might find it interesting. It's my portable wideband rig I made for my tuning jobs. Let's me set air/fuel on the street before I go to the dyno and then I only have to tune timing. Helps save the car owner some money for dyno rental.

Really cool thread.

Does the bigger antenna help radio much?

Thank you... The bigger one is stock. I had switched to the smaller one to get rid of that remote control car look. You do loose distance of reception but it works fine.

The factory antenna probably has the best reception. I swapped my stock one out for a "shorty" one and the FM reception can go from quality sound to less quality sound when I am under a tree or in a parking garage.

Nice.. there are several ways to convert to 5 lug without needing a CRZ donor car.

Honestly I have not done much digging into it. I remember for a few years ago when I researched it that this was an options for going rear disc and 5lug all in one shot. I ran across a cr-z at a local junkyard when I was looking for some something else and just pulled everything off. I actually really like my current wheels and was about to send them out to get re powder-coated but now im looking for some replacement rims. im running 17x7 but probably going 17x8's now.

Yeah, the CRZ rear axle beam is the best option for 5 lug and rear disk brakes at the same time. Otherwise you will have to get 5 lug drum and 5 lug hub for the stock Fit rear axle beam.

From the information I got. Everything in the rear is CR-Z. In the front Im going to be using the 5lug cr-z spindle with the fit knuckle and fit bearing.

Man, where I live, the roads in the small city / large town I'm 2 miles away from, eat up bumper fascia and ground effect add-ons for lunch. Never mind lowering the car. So that first photo of that really cool looking, lowered white Fit well, such a ride would loose it's fascia and ground effects the first time hitting the streets. The potholes would swallow up a lowered Fit! I'm actually interested in jacking up my Fit.

Well the 5lug and rear disk are on hold until the new rims come in. Looks like it going to be about 2 months. The original plan of refinishing my 5zigen fn01rc's is off the table once I found the 5lug conversion. So now I play the waiting game.

little steps

Not bad for 250k all original parts.

Now that everything is off the car and stripped down its off to the powder coat shop.

Otherwise I am still waiting on my wheels and parts to come in to get this 5 lug rear disk completed.
