What size serpentine belt with no A/C

I noticed that you can route the belt to bypass the A/C. Anyone know what size serpentine belt the canada fits w/o ac use?

I can help you get one delivered if you know the part number. I've assembled a supply chain, so to speak, for CDM parts. I had to get a BNIB replacement rear bumper from a 2005 Acura EL for a rear conversion on my Civic build.

I'm just gonna measure it with a string and head down to autozone, thanks though, it's the thought that counts.

Since this info is virtually impossible to find online, and auto parts retailers seem to think the DX uses the same belt as the other Fit trims, I thought I'd be a nice guy and post that a 5 rib, 33.5 inch effective length belt seems to be working on my 2009 Fit Sport (with auto belt tensioner) to bypass the AC compressor pulley. (The compressor pulley bearing went bad and I wanted to stop the constant grinding while I figure out a diy fix or save up some cash for a shop.) Figured this out by guesstimation and trial and error. YMMV, good luck.

Tried a 33.5 inch belt last night for this same reason and it was too tight. A 34 worked perfect. 2009 Fit Sport not that it matters.

In case your parts store people are retards the part number will be 5050340

2010 Honda fit bypass AC used 34" 5 ribbed belt

I used a 34" 5 ribed belt. It went on too easy that I thought it was the wrong size but everything worked. To remove the belt, I removed top bolt on my alternator and loosened the lower bolt to allow the alternator tilt a bit. Then from below I put a serpentine belt wrench (from harbor freight ) with 19mm socket on the tensioner pulley to loosen the tensioner a bit more. Belt slipped off with no struggle. When i put the new belt on i started from the bottom and finished with the alternator.

Honestly I wish I could smack some of you upside the head. A 34" OC belt does not fucking fit this car. No fucking way, no fucking how. The K050336 belt above is a 34.25" OC belt. I'm sure it is a tight fit because a 34" belt is not possible. Who in the actual fuck measures a belt by effective length and not outer circumference is beyond me.

Serpentine belt for a Honda Fit with no A/C

I share this info for those who want to get a new serpentine belt for their Fit (2009) with no air conditioning. You will need a smaller belt for your car and you may have trouble finding it because parts stores (around here) only have the belt for the A/C version (10" too long) and they say it's the only one they have. I finally found one that fits and decided to share the information to help everyone who is trying to do the same and who have the same problem. The belt I have purchased is from Bando and the model number is 5PK 855. I join a picture of the package as a complement. Have a good one guys and good luck! 🙂

Thumbs up

Adding to consensus: I just (got the shop to) put on the same NAPA belt and success was had (~1 hour of labour). Not many kms on it yet but sounds far better than the distilled perpetual seagull she was producing before.

NBH K050336 RPM, https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBHK050336RPM, $28 in Edmonton, Alberta
Outside Circumference: 34.44 inches
Effective Length: 33.78 inches
5 rib, .667 top width, 40 degree belt angle

It looks like an 855-860 mm EL belt would work (according to some guy on reddit who says the Fit DX in Canada was offered without an AC Compressor and gave the OEM number for the belt that model used as 31110-RB0-G01); this NAPA belt converts to 858 mm.

Thanks so much for posting - this pointed me in the right direction. We still occasionally get up to 32-35 deg Centigrade up here, but I'd rather sweat while $800 richer.

2009 1.5L L4, 283000 km

2012 Fit, 050355 fit mine perfectly. Only concern I have is I believe the water pump now runs in the reverse direction. Hopefully not a large problem.
