Custom Storage 09 Fit

I have a 2009 Fit Sport and want to add some sort of storage box to it. Has anybody seen this done? I was thinking it might be best to take it into a shop that does custom speaker boxes and have me build something but I wanted to make sure it hasn't already been done or available already.

It could be any kind of storage that utilized anything behind the front seats.

how much storage would you like? what are you trying to store in your car? the rear hatch has plenty of space if you wanted like a box back there it would not be hard to make. im just not sure why you would want that?

If you want to make the Fit a two-seater and do something that "hasn't" been done...

Take the rear seats out, and convert that open floor area into a storage space, where the lid acts as an extension of the cargo floor. It might be an odd shape and not very big though.

If you're REALLY determined... take the front passenger seat out and extend that storage all the way up, making a giant cargo floor that wraps around you. You could then convert the lower glove box into a cabinet or something. Or replace it with a recessed panel to give the floor space a little bit a room for long items.

I thought that when i had 600 lbs of concrete in the back I had maximized the stuff hauling capabilities of the FIT but, goobers that would really be going all out. The way the back seats already fold flat idk if you gain that much storage space by removing them. It would be pretty neat if the front seat could somehow fold to be flat.

Like I said, it wouldn't be very big and an odd shape. If anything its might only be useful for miscellaneous things (emergency kit? rare trip blanket and the like?).
