Looking for GE8s with blacked out emblems front & back. Preferably on a black car, but any car is helpful.
I don't really like the original chrome and I don't like the popular red emblems either. I wanted to get a set of badgeless grill and badgeless rear garnish but looks like JDP grill is the only choice and I'm not a huge fan of that either.
Ideas are also welcome!
Thanks!

Try Plastic Dip. The paint can easily be removed if you want to revert back to original.

^ No other way to get it off without snapping the clips. I suppose you can take off the entire garnish piece, but it's a bit of a hassle when all you need is a flat head to pop off the emblem.
To anyone using plastidip on the emblems: it'll probably peel off. So, use it to decide if you really like it, then I suggest sanding it down and painting.

Yesterday I decided to pull off the back garnish to remove the rear emblem. Do yourself a favor, and break off the pins to remove the emblem.
You have to remove the interior trim panel to get to a bolt that mounts the garnish piece. Then popping off the garnish piece is a mother since the poppers are so stout.
Once I had it ALL apart, I went to pull off the metal washer things that hold the emblem on, and they frickin broke anyways. Just break them with the car together, and use 3m tape to put the emblem back on.
Also, Lowes/Home Depot carry Plasti-Dip. You shouldnt have to order it.

Here are a couple of pictures of our emblems...
I used Krylon fusion Satin Black on the front. And Fusion Gloss black on the back.
The back looks perfect. The front needs more matte. A flat black would be perfect for the front.
