How about a 28" x 80" door! Try that in a civic! Made me realize that a sheet of plywood would fit if cut in half the long way! And still close the hatch.

Forgot to say, it was a 20 mile round trip to pick up the door. 12 miles of the 20 was on a 45 mph road with traffic lights. The rest in town, with 2 additional stops at stores for more stuff, including a crawl thru Wal Marts parking lot. Avg. 35.3 mpg. 2013 Fit m/t.

Hope nobody minds me bringing this post back from the dead, but since I used this as research for this weekend's Craigslisting trip, I thought it was only fair to share our haul. With only about half of the cargo capacity used, we were able to fit 4 wheels & tires, as well as 2 racing seats.

Buddy ('10 Sport MT) of mine carried these 16 ft long boards for a deck but they really didn't "FIT".

When I first saw this pic I thought you stuck the Harley back there.

Here's the full load 16 ft long plus dirty underwear as a safety flag. Nice touch.

They used to say that the Honda Element was the double bass player's car of choice. Now that I have my Fit I'm happy to say it is THIS double bass player's car of choice. The fold-flat seats are a dream come true! Pics to come when I load up for a gig. Bass, amp(s), accessories... It'll all FIT no problem!
