Air Deflector effect on MPG?

I've been throwing around the idea of getting the Air deflector accessory for my Fit. However I'm worried about the effect it will have on the MPG. As you can see by my Fuelly sig, my DIY intake knocked off a few MPG from my avg. I used to be able to get over 40 but now it's hard to get above 35.

Anyways, does anyone have any knowledge of the effects that the Air Deflector has on the MPG rating?

I bought the first Hood Deflector from Canada for my GD3 in '07, and bought the first one sold by Zeta Products for my GE8. They merely deflect air over the windshield and have absolutely zero negative effect on fuel economy.
