2013 Fit Out Now: New Color, No Changes
I parked my '11 orange fit next to a '13 the other day. Things I noticed were:
-Font bumper is all different.
-Fog lights surround is different.
-Headlight has the blacked out backing on it.
-Some wheels are different.
That was all that I noticed.

Those changes happened to the 2012 model year.
Hey guys, i'm brand new here...thinking about buying a Fit this month if all goes according to plan.
I have a question about the 2013 models. If the only change is the one color (midnight plum), would there be any benefit to buying a 2013 base as opposed to buying a 2012 base other than the color of course.
also just real quick, this site has been so incredibly helpful in helping me determine that i definitely want to buy a Fit!

Basically, there is no advantage or disadvantage whatsoever. When (or if) you resell the car, the 2013 would appear to be a year newer, which may give it a higher residual value, even though the car itself is no more or less "used up." For a sale within a couple or three years, this may be worth a little thought—but if you can get a better deal on a 2012 now, it could easily even out.
