I am really looking to do this conversion as soon as I get the money! Love those wheels too, I'm eventually going to get white rims as well.

I agree with you... it adds to the appearance. Some like hood deflectors, some don't. My vote? Leave in on... I'm getting one as soon as I can find the time to put it on.

Gives a slight edge to the overall look of the front of your ride.

Which deflector is that? I think there are two brands available for the GE.

Im definitely leaving it on for now, this city is like a wet sandbox during the winter. I know there's an oem one, but the one I have is by "form fit". Quality is really good and quite a lot cheaper than the oem one. I've been hit with countless rocks of all shapes and sizes and it's still holding up fine(so is my windshield thanks to it).

I like the hood deflector I think since I added it to my car there is no scratches or marks on my hood.

The only thing that sucks is that I have a 12-13 color those skirts and front bumper only comes in 09-11 colors, and there's no OEM Honda bumper or Mugen sides that are just primed and unpainted! Adds a lot of extra work! Almost thinking of having the dealer just put on the 2.5 sport sides and bumper/grille to save time and frustration, even though I LOVE the 09-11 grille/bumper way more.

Both the 09-11 or 12-13 front bumper can only be purchased unpainted as far as I know.
You could contact bernardi parts to see if they carry your colour for the sides.

Either way you're gonna have to get at least one part painted at a body shop.
I went the extra step and had my bumper clear bra'ed before I even installed it.

I wouldn't recommend getting your dealer to do anything, they'll charge you way too much for it. If you don't feel up to the task, try to find a local body shop to do the work. But it's honestly not that difficult to do this, there are just a lot of small steps, and the whole thing requires some patience.

Oh yeah, my wheels are made by a Canadian company called Fast wheels. They're the salsa f108's but only come in gunmetal black or silver. I had them stripped and powder coated white. So I guess you could say I have custom wheels lol.

Well with all my mods together so far I'm sure I've paid more than the price of the Stock sport model. If just counting the above mod , that was about 1500 less than the difference in price between the lx and sport in Canada. (plus I'd end up getting the '12 bumper that I dislike). Obviously the exact price depends on where you live too ( shipping, taxes, etc)

Agree that it is a somewhat pricey mod, though it's nice that I was able to change my mind about what I wanted down the road.
I just picked up a Base fit because it was the only manual at our dealership( so the option of buying a sport wasn't even there for me. Thanks for posting this, you have inspired my mods going forward between this and the electronic thermostat hack.
