cut off
cut off
I own a 2010 base model with a/t and i would like to deleat the cut off.
Is it possible to do it and how?
I also want to deleat the cat and put the exhaust strait.By removing the cat i will install the oxy sensor directly in the tube. Will i have any engine problem by doing that?
The reason of all that is that i m preparing the car for trackrace even if it an a/t.
thanks

Just leave it alone, you'll gain .1 hp and have a hacked up exhaust. Also pointless.
You may want to check regulations before you go to the track. Before doing anything to the car. Also what wanderer said, weight reduction. Better tires stick with your cars strong points and lots of seat time
What do you mean by cutoff, the max rev limit? Even with my reflashed ECU from J's, the max revs were only increased like 200rpms, simply because the L15A with stock components is not flowing so much that an increase in revs is going to gain power. The main reason for the 200 rpm increase was for less of a drop between shifts to keep the engine in VTEC.
You can delete the secondary cat with no ill-effect to the ECU as the secondary sensor resides before the actual catalytic converter. You will gain a small bit of high-end power, with a very small drop down in the low-end.
If I were you and you are serious about racing your Fit, I would be looking to change to a manual version. The autotragic is not going to hold up over time if really beat on. If you are dead set on wasting the little power the L15A has by racing the AT, at least get a transmission cooler and at a minimum before every event change your fluid.

+1 on getting a transmission cooler. That should be the first thing you do really. I've taken a few automatics out on HPDE before and the transmissions weren't too happy afterwards, fluid thinned out started banging gears for about 30 minutes on the way home till it cooled off a little
