Has anyone removed their bumper protector appliqué ?

So, my 2012 Fit has the accessory bumper protector applique. I didn't really want it, but since my car was brought in from another dealer for me to buy, they just threw it in for free with the car. It was installed at the other dealership.

My question is, has anyone removed theirs before? And if so, was it hard to do, was the paint below damaged, etc? I just think the car would look much more clean without it. It shows dirt and water spots way before the actual paint on the car does.

Thanks in advance everyone.

-Doug

Seriously? It looks really good with it on even if you never have a need for it. JDM the wiper already!!!!

PS Kinda hard to tell from the picture but on your Fit the plate holder needs to match the emblem, meaning chrome. If that's a dealer plate ditch it. Already done? So sorry my eye sight is failing me.

I like your Fit!

Leave it! I skimped on these and got free wind deflectors. Live the deflectors, but now my rear bumper deeply scratched because woman can't treat a car nicely

Good feedback, guys! I had a Yaris (2 cars ago) and you're right, even though I really didn't load a TON of stuff in it, my bumper got scuffed pretty badly too. I want the wind deflectors too, but I like the design of the Mugen ones. Now I just gotta figure out where to buy authentic ones. I heard that the bootleg Mugen industry is ridiculous.

Dwalbert320, the dealer crap has been gone for months =) I think this must have been taken when I first got the car.

I had this on my GD3, but took it off when it got banged up. Saved the paint though, if you are looking to take it off, mine came off just fine. Did not heat it up, just started pulling it off as a whole. It left no residue, really good product

The day you pull it off you'll get a scratch and then you'll order another one to cover up the scratch. Don't throw a free part away.
