New here. Have a 2008 Sport 5 spd manual that I bought with 58,000 miles.
How is this thing classified? Is it a 2nd gen? And what does this GE stand for? (trying to see where the fit fits in the model year, etc.)
This is "almost" my mid-life crisis car! I had always wanted one of the civic hatchbacks from 20 years ago. This just might do it.
I love this car.

It refers to the VIN chassis code. For the US, GE8 fits were sold starting in 2009. GE fits were sold in other parts of the world starting in 2008, but not here.
If you have a 2008 US fit, it'll be a GD3 and you can find that in the first part of the car's VIN.
