Tinting my 5 rear windows with a 15% tint, and the darkest eyebrow they had to the bottom of the rear view mirror was all well worth it. Was quoted $240 or $260 without the eyebrow, flat $300 with it. Even my cost conscience spouse approves, especially the eyebrow. As with others, I can see traffic lights fine through it, and the sun becomes an annoyance not a driving hazard when it can be seen in the eyebrow.

I left the front driver and passenger windows, also the front quarter windows alone to meet CA law. They had a very light almost unnoticable tint that would cut most heat pooducing UV, but he wanted over a $100 more, (I think he said $160), and I didn't want a traffic stop.

Police cars are exempt from the Florida front windshield law.
Same here, I do not understand why SUVs and Minivans are allowed to be tinted (not front driver and passenger windows) but sedans are not allowed. Must be criminals drive sedans.

Here in South Texas, I had all windows and the eyebrow done as dark as legally possibe for $140 or $160, can't remember which one. Of course our wives are old friends so I prolly got a "family" discount. I've taken all my vehicles to him and the tint job seems to last the life of the vehicles.

The eyebrow was a surprise when I picked up the Fit, as it had never occurred to me to get that part done.

If your talking about just a strip it should cost roughly $25 installed! I highly recommend it! Took the sun of my steering wheel a lot of the time.

i suppose for rock chip prevention that's a good idea.
Only the H is outside. The strip is inside.

Cowling off as was doing springs at that time.

DIY, walmart, roll of film, easy to install strip tint.
I like it for curving roads were the sun alternates between the corner of the driver's window and the windshield. I keep the visor blocking the driver's window and the tint strip blocks the windshield.

Is it worth the extra expense? Just trying to cut costs where I can.
The eyebrow tint is well worth it, but at 60 it is too expensive. Id shop around It blocks off the sun at times when visor is of no use.

got my 2012 tinted last week, all 10 windows plus the windshield strip professionally done. i paid $180 + $10 tips. (this guy does tinting for a honda dealer, but he's doing side job at his home garage which looks like a shop lol) 20 percent rear and 55 percent for the front. the sun strip was 15 percent, it helps a lot when you are driving aginst the sun.. i recommend it. if i didnt want the tint on windshield, it will be $160

I got charged $140 for all windows + lifetime protection.

They wanted $20 for the strip but I decided not to do it. I regret it now because driving home from work at 730am in the direction of the sun is not good for my night eyes.

For a relatively inexpensive addition?
I REALLY like my windshield strip.
Keeps direct sun off my steering wheel and front of dash, and on the sunniest days with use of a pair of sunglasses, I seldom have to reach for the rather crappy fold down visors...infact almost never.

I happen to have a Crystal Black Pearl Honda Fit and I personally think it makes it look sharper...but that's a matter of taste.
