yah good luck finding a cool looking 15x5.5 or 15x6 wheel with 45mm offset. you're better off sticking with stock or using factory wheels.

most wheels sold are 15x7, sometimes 6.5" width. 15x7 with ET45 is going to look lifted without lowering.

Craigslist buys are 50% the deal and 50% the journey and story (some good, some bad, usually funny either way). There's some good deals to be found there, even if you do have to drive a bit, just work that into the price

 

I've heard this a few times and never seen it in action... as long as the overall diameter of the tire remains the same, why would it look lifted? and what would the offset have to do with any of this. The gap from a side profile is still the same no matter what. I can see smaller diameter tires making the car look lifted as it will increase the wheel gap while larger diameter tires filling out the wheel well better (but raising the side profile a little bit higher)

no, if the spec is the same or very similar the ride height will appear the same... but the problem is going back to finding a cool looking set of wheels with those specs.

usually they look like cheap garbage and in that case, stock wheels with wheel covers will look much better. somethings are better left untouched if going cheap.

 

Finding a set of wheels/tires that match the spec isn't difficult. Style is subjective but that shouldn't impact if a vehicle looks lifted. That said, there is a large number of wheels that look pretty cheap. Taking the time to find something that one likes is a smart thing to do.

I'm happy w/ Konig though I'm sure some would disagree.

 

And I think you are still missing the point.

 

Check out the 16"X6.5" 45 offset Kosei racing wheels at Tire Rack.com..They are fairly light weighing 12.8lbs. You need to rely on your own personal taste as to whether they look good on your car though... If the wheels are the right size and round I can adjust to the look.
