Black wheel covers/hubcaps. What does everyone think?

I saw a parked car today with some really slick shiny black hub caps. I've been wanting to get something to set my '10 Fit Sport apart from the rest and I thought this might be a good option.

I'd be looking at something like these I suppose:

WH522-16C-B Pilot 16" Wheel Cover (Black Chrome) for 07-up Honda Fit at Andy's Auto Sport

or

Does anyone have any thoughts on these? Totally awesome? Incredibly dumb?

If anyone wants to make recommendations I'm all ears.

Not bad but try and find some with only 4 fake lug nuts. There are lots of chromeones you could just spray black as well.

I had these on my winter wheels.

Of the two, the bottom is better as it covers more of the wheel behind it. Black3sr's caps cover almost all of the wheel so they don't look bad. I'd say stick with the stock caps (if yours has any) and save the $$ for some new (or new to you) alloy wheels. i picked up a set of 15" Integra alloys off of Craigslist for $50 plus the trade of a [not being used] Strut tower Brace which was worth on ebay about another $50-$75 One of the Winter wheels posts around here has a photo. If you want to see I can look it up and link it but right now... that's actually effort... not into that today

Wait... Edit... You have a FIT Sport which has alloy wheels already... are you looking at getting new WHEELS? or do you have winter Wheels that you want to put Caps on...? caps won't work on your stock wheels.

Hubcaps are for steel wheels. You have alloy wheels. If you want to change your car's look by changing the wheels you can:

1) Paint your stock wheels
2) Powdercoat your stock wheels
3) Polish your stock wheels
4) Buy new wheels

I've never had to fuss with my wheels before. I assumed it had caps as that's all I had ever dealt with previously. If what I'm looking at is the entire wheel then I'm not going to bother doing anything else. Too much work. I thought this would be a simple thing, buy them and put them on the wheel, ha!

Ugh.

You can plastidip them, but as has been said, if they don't have hubcaps now, other hubcaps won't go on....

Where do you live? If you live in a place that gets snow, you can buy a set of steelies and get some nice winter tires mounted on them then go crazy with hubcaps (steel wheel covers). Changing wheels and tires is relatively easy compared to mounting tires on a single set of rims.

Some people use their original allows for winter and flashy aftermarkets for summer use. I wouldn't dare subject my alloys to salt like that but to each his own.

I don't have the space or money to handle an extra set of wheels. I live in a modest second floor urban apartment.

Upstate NY. I do get a lot of snow. If I had more money I'd def consider that as an option and get some snow tires. This thing is all over the place in icy conditions. Only thing I dislike about the Fit. Something to tuck away for a future time.
