2013 Fit LX plastic wheel cover removal

Since one of the wheel cover was damaged upon delivery.
We will be getting a swap of wheel cover. The dealership is quite far so I only wanted to swap wheel cover in person instead of bringing the car in.

This is the canadian Fit LX with the plastic wheel cover.
I've taken wheel covers off before on other makes, but somehow this wheel cover just won't budge around the hubcap area. Instructions from the manual just says to pull, well I lifted the cover off the entire rim edges, but still can't get it off.

Does anyone know if the wheel cover is held on by the lug nuts?
There is a metal like bracket on the inside of the wheel cover hubcap area.

Thanks.

I don't recall doing a tire rotation in a newer Fit Base for a while... I honestly believe that the wheel covers are indeed held in place by the lug nuts. Check for a light gray or black plastic clip that rides around the perimeter of lug nuts. If it has that, the lug nuts should have to come off.

Yes, I think I saw a black plastic o-ring that rides around the lug nuts.
The manual said to take the cover off before unscrewing the lug nuts...weird...

Anybody else have first hand experience with taking off the wheel cover?

I recall trying to pull some covers off my old Stratus. Finally realized needed to take lug nuts off first. So why not jack it up and take a wheel off and see what happens? It will be a nice sunny day today.

I have a 2012 Fit Base. I literally just pulled and the wheel covers came off. If I remember correctly, I think there are grooves on the side of the wheel covers where you can stick a flat head screwdriver in to help pry it off.
