Cdn LX wheel covers

I have the LX model with the flat alloy wheels. How do I get them off? I tried prying them off using my tire iron and all it did was scratch the side edge of the wheel and it didn't budge. Didn't find anything in the manual about it.

The center caps come off with the flat tool provided in the tool kit.

It's better to push towards the center and pull outward than to rely on the rim edge.

Mine where pretty easy to get off with a slot head screw driver. You must be doing something wrong. Kind of wiggle the screw driver around as you pry.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try pushing out them from the centre.

you are trying to remove the cover over the lugnuts correct? The way you worded your initial post it's as if you think the entire rim is a hubcap??

Yes, I'm trying to remove the cover to expose the lugnuts. I tried to wiggle my iron in between the cover and the rim and it was very tight. I guess I'm just used to my previous cars, which always had cheap plastic hubcaps that had a lot of give so they just popped right off. Maybe I'm just trying to be too careful because I don't want to damage the covers since I scratched the edge of one already.
