Exclamation advice: damaged exhaust system

Hey guys,

Took some underbody damage to my 09 fit sport over the weekend and this resulted in - amongst other things - a muffled sounding exhaust, and some minor vibrations in the engine sound above 2500rpm. The car handles completly fine. Took the car to my dealer, they've hoisted it up and snaped some pictures showing what looks like "minor" (to my untrained eyes) bending in the exhaust system in at least two places. One on a pipe near the front and the other on what appears to be the catalytic converter.

I've been given an estimate to replace the "Centerpipe" and
"Centerpipe flange" at a parts cost of about $520 CAD + labour (~$170) + tax.

Im seeing a bunch of aftermarket stuff for cheaper online it seems. I know you'll always pay more for OEM. I've always wanted to get a performance exhaust... Maybe this is the right time?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Nic

You might lose a little of your low end power and the noise may wear you down some after a long highway drive... Just don't go crazy and get a huge down pipe, B pipe and loud axle back pipe/muffler... Even with 5 PSI boost my car ran better with small diameter pipe.. With 10 PSI I found that I needed to use 2.5" pipe from the header back.
