Unhappy Tire sizes for 17x7

I just bought some Buddy Club P1 Challenge SF wheels today 17x7 +42. I am currently stock height stock everything. Might throw some springs on it later. Anyway here in a few months when it warms up Ill put them on. I am nervous about what tires to get.

I have read a bunch of different stuff, but I am not certain. I want the i know its probably gonna be 205 40 or 215 40, but I would prefer the 215. I just want to make sure its not gonna rub. From what I have seen people only ever really have issues on the back with passengers.

When I had my 17x7" +38 Enkei PF01's on stock ride height. I was running 205/50 Falken ziex612's(I just like a meatier tire). I only rubbed on very hard bumps or dips in the road. Other than that I did not rub at all. But since then I have lowered it, and had to take them off.
