200A H/O alternator installed and working great in my 2010 Fit

I know there's been a lot of debate on whether or not a high-output alternator will work in the Fit, but I just recently put mine in and everything is working great.

I made an installation thread about it here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ml#post1163573

I've never done a play-by-play build/installation log like this before, so I might've skimped on some stuff, but I did my best. Hopefully it'll prove helpful to anyone here that wants to put a H/O alt in their Fits. I remember searching for months all over the Internet for someone to have done this, but never found one.

You did a great job, and established a lot of credibility for the Tenney alternator. If I decide that I can't live without glass shattering bass from amps and drivers that fill up the rest of the car, I might buy this thing myself.

I'm getting a high output alternator in the near future and am very excited! Just out of curiosity what do you have for a sound system or whatever the new alternator was needed for?

My current system didn't require the HO alt, but I thought I'd get one while I had the money so I could get it out of the way and not have to worry about it when I wanted to get more power in the future, but right now I just have 2 AQ HDC315s on an AQ1200D with 2 Sprinter 370 batteries in the back.

And what else is required for the install? I'm going to be getting a ho alt doing 200a @ idle and 350 max. That costs 549$. Do u need new belts or anything? I've never done this before.

I'm not sure, since you're not getting the same one that I have. Where are you getting a 350A Honda Fit alt from? :O
