well the grill was about $50 used. after usage fees, buying fees and shipping fees, its about another $50 more.

i also found a used, but cracked mugen fit shuttle grill, but for $100+fees, id rather just get a decent looking minorly scratched grill, and get a brand new mugen grill later.

I'm constantly tempted to jump and buy the Mugen grille but I'm still indecisive about it... So, in the mean time, I just got a bit creative:

I am thinking in a couple of weeks I will order the E-Bay grille and a new top and try to modified to fit my 12 Sport. Paint the center Red to match the car. I could do this when I am modifying the STI lip I brought back in December.

yes the website is legit. but their markup towards foreign buyers is huge. not to mention the shipping too. meanwhile, autostyle's listings on various websites are cheaper for the japanese market. if u are gonna order from autostyle, go through rakuten and you will get a better price. other vendors on rakuten actually sell what they offer for a much cheaper price.

finally got shipping confirmation from buyee.com for my yahoo auctions japan purchase. the price for shipping is 6600 yen with protective packaging. the grill cost about 4500 yen. total is 11000 yen ($114). damn shipping cost more than the item itself. but its ok, i'm only risking $114 to confirm that the fit shuttle parts will fit our Fits. hopefully the package gets here by early next week. =)

looks decent doesnt it? nice OEM look.

It kind of reminds me of the 2012 Accord. It looks luxury.

I used buyee.jp to bid on the item and handle the transaction and shipping.

So I want the Mugen front grille below but it says its compatible only with 2009-2010 Honda Fit models.

I have a 2013 base but I thought 2009-2013 GE8s are all the same? From pics the front grille area looks same between 2009-2013 so what am I missing here. Whats different in front grille area and has anyone made it work? Thanks for the responses!

theres no variation there to worry about, so long as its a USDM GE8 sport.

Uh, there is a difference.

For the GE8, there's a pre-facelift and facelift version.

Look at the sides of the grille next to the headlights. For pre-facelift, there will be part of the bumper coming up between the grille and headlight. The facelift versions have the grille extend all the way to the headlight, no bumper bit.

2012/2013 are the facelifted versions.

Edit: some online searching shows base models with older grille styles. But the Sport is definitely different.

edit #2... all of which doesn't matter, since jubyloo doesn't have a Sport (had to dig up his/her other post to see)... for some reason, in the link, even if you change it to a base trim, it says the Mugen grille doesn't fit, even though the official accessory sport grille does. My guess is they just didn't officially check it. But it should fit base trim for 2013.
