Who would win?
Who would win?
I have a bet with my buddy saying that my car is faster than his around a auto x circuit. He has a 2012 Chevy Impala and I have a 2010 Fit sport.

Auto X is 75% driver, 15% tire, 5% power and 5% suspension.
There is absolutely no way for us to guess who would win since we don't know any of the variables. Just go and have fun learning skills that will help you be a safer driver and maybe a better racer someday.

well.. this is where it gets interesting. I have my suspension set up just the way I like it. Frame reinforcements, slotted front breaks with nice pads lowering springs. I'm sure I've got him in the corners. I can pick what track we race at
So as long as a pick a short track I think I might have a chance.

You will NEVER do well on your first AutoX outing (unless your an alien born with amazing talent who can jump in anything and make it fast, THEY DO EXIST, I am NOT one
)#1 Rule, HAVE FUN
If he has enough tire (265mm+ prob) to get 3000lbs and 300hp down, and a modicum of throttle control, you will likely be in trouble. ESPECIALLY if the course designer drives a Corvette or a Miata or just about any Front Engine Rear Wheel Drive car

If it's on a small lot, with a lot of slaloms and technical sections....

I've beaten 400+whp Evo's in raw times when the course was on my side

I could imagine flinging my arms about helplessly trying to turn and put 300hp/250tq down on the front wheels of a boat at the same time at an autocross course.
If the course was two long straights and two equal radius turns you'd be dominated.

NOT a good recipe for an AutoX car... AT ALL
I would LOVE to see video of some one try!!!
All poking fun aside, I have seen several hot shoe drivers flog rental car Chrysler 200's with the VSA turned off... at a curb weight of 3400lbs and only 173hp rated at the crank from the 4 banger... They looked like they were having fun. Times were NOT fast, but lots of tortured tire noise and mid corner throttle lift + brake stabbing = hooliganism

My Fit is 100% stock and it's my daily driver for now. I stopped racing after many years after the 2010 season, but my last car (2006 RSX-S) was running Z1*specs.
I'll get back into it one day.
