Does anyone know of good (on the Internet) engine and transmission diagrams for my car? 2013 base Fit with the 1.5 I-vtec. I'd prefer non-shady sources if there are any.

And: this will out me as not knowing much about engines, but... What is the canister on the top left of my engine that says Continental SV01 and has a wiring harness going to what looks like an aluminum intake or exhaust? Yes, go ahead and laugh. I don't even know if the 4 tubes in front are the intake or the exhaust. I'm guessing intake from the configuration.

As to why: I'm simply curious.

 

That is the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve.

Best source for learning about the engine is the service manual, which you can buy from Helms.

 

It makes the car smell it's own farts.

 

Try the parts diagrams in parts dept on the net. The Honda dealer in Rhode Islkands has a good set.
